Chasing Stillness is part of my "San Pancho Series", a collection of 9 unique paintings inspired by a trip to Nayarit, Mexico. 'Chasing Stillness' describes when I'm quick to feel at ease on vacation but it takes a day to settle in and relax. The things that immediately calmed me were watching the sun glitter on water, the layers of tree lines in the distance, the quiet and open view, and the lazy, warm breeze—all of which inspired this painting.
This original painting has been professionally framed with high-quality, acid-free materials using a raised float mount technique where the painting appears to float on top of the mat board, allowing the hand-torn edges to be seen.
