I can barely contain my excitement with this news—two of my paintings are in the Fall/Winter 2022 collection at CB2!! It's been a longtime goal of mine to work with CB2. I've always admired their aesthetic and appreciate that they shine the spotlight on the artists who make their products. Made with ink and water on paper, these paintings are only available at cb2.com.
In The Flow
In The Flow (shown above) was inspired by tide pools and the movement of water flowing in and out of them. I remember standing at the edge of the Pacific Ocean and feeling like the ocean was breathing all around me. How it would swell and then relax. I was mesmerized by the water swirling in and out of the rocks, leaving little sea creatures for me to find. My husband and I had a mile of tide pools to ourselves on that beautiful sunny day and it was a moment I'll never forget.
Bayview
Bayview (shown above) was inspired by an overcast day I remember on the Puget Sound in Seattle. The water was calm and seemed to match the grey sky above it. Mist hovered over the coast making the mountains in the distance barely visible. Strips of land showed their reflections in the water with ripples interrupting the shadows. It was a serene moment of stillness that made me see the beauty in a gloomy day.
