Hazy Day was painted during a self-imposed residency in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was inspired by a beautifully stormy day at the Fort De Soto dog beach, where the foggy sky melded with the water, giving no visible horizon line. The colors, textures, and shapes of this painting were inspired by what I saw that day.
